Why is it that folks feel compelled to slow down to an almost dead stop when there is a car or two COMPLETELY off the road with its flashers on? Come on people! It isn't like cars on the side of the road are a new invention on the DC beltway....

And there is this new invention...It's called a turn signal. You use it to actually signal an attempt at changing lanes. Rather novel compared to just moving into a lane blindly regardless of any other vehicle happening to have the audacity of occupying the desired space....

And since I appear to be on a traffic rant, why do people feel compelled to slow down next to jersey barriers? They aren't in the lane....You can drive at full speed in your lane before they are put in.... And interstate lanes are wide....It isn't that hard....
